Event Dates: Thursday June 8 – Sunday June 11, 2017
Event Locations: Lake Forest High School & Loyola Academy
No experience necessary, just a willingness to learn!
All training will take place on-site.
The Adult National Open and Great Lakes Regional Games (ANO-GLRG) would not be possible without the hundreds of volunteers needed to support this amazing event. The volunteer experience will be as memorable as the athletes and coaches! All volunteers receive training on-site and a phenomenal 2017 Games t-shirt! Volunteers will be recruited to fill a variety of needs from logistics*, first aid, concessions and specific sport events.
The games are a great team building event whether you volunteer with your co-workers, family members or look to meet new friends. Each year our athletes and Games committee members welcome back our past volunteers as well meeting those new to the games.
Volunteers can choose to sign up for one shift or spend the entire weekend supporting both first time athletes or those competitors who will be representing the United States of America at the 2017 World Para Athletics World Championships in London!!!

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED TO HELP WITH:
- Logistics (Thursday – Sunday)
- Concessions & Registration
- Archery Competition
- Swim Meet
- Track & Field Events
- Event Awards
Logistics volunteers must be 16 years or older and be willing to do manual labor. These volunteers will be under the direction of Tom Daily, GLASA Program Director. They will be responsible for event set up and tear down. If they are lucky, they also get to spend time riding in a golf cart!
VOLUNTEER LEADERSHIP POSITIONS
Volunteers are also needed to help fill various leadership positions throughout the event, i.e. volunteer check-in, assigning volunteers to field pits, oversee volunteers in specific areas, etc. This would include meeting several times prior to the ANO-GLRG and being present for an extended period of time during the event. These leadership positions will look good on resumes and job applications for anyone looking to go into teaching, coaching or jobs within the medical field. If interested, please contact Micaela Fedyniak, GLASA Program Director/Volunteer Coordinator, directly at [email protected] or 847-283-0908.
Please don’t hesitate to contact Micaela, if you have questions or need further information. Please help us out by telling your friends, family and co-workers about this volunteer opportunity.
