United States Paralympics has just announced the 29 members of Team USA’s 2016 Swimming National Team, and former GLASA swimmer Alyssa Gialamas has been chosen for this tremendous honor. Alyssa graduated from Waubonsie Valley High School in Aurora, and currently attends Loyola University in Baltimore. In 2012, she surprised the paralympic sports world by suddenly emerging as a world-class swimmer, and qualified for and competed in the London 2012 paralympics. She will be once again likely be representing Team USA at the 2016 Paralympics in Rio later this year. Congratulations, Alyssa!!
